Marice Recruitment Agency Ltd is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Healthcare Cleaner to join our team, working across GP surgeries, dental practices and private clinics.
Role Description
As a Healthcare Cleaner, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our healthcare facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for patients, staff and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and disinfect patient rooms, waiting areas and other areas within the healthcare facility
- Empty and restock supplies, including toilet paper, soap and paper towels
- Operate cleaning equipment, such as vacuum cleaners and floor polishers
- Maintain cleanliness of clinical and non-clinical areas, including corridors, stairwells and offices
- Report any maintenance or repair issues to the facilities team
- Work collaboratively with other cleaning staff to ensure efficient and effective cleaning of the facility
- Adhere to infection control policies and procedures
Skills & Competencies
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Physical ability to lift and move cleaning equipment and supplies
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise tasks effectively
- Knowledge of infection control policies and procedures (training provided)
- Previous experience in a cleaning role, preferably in a healthcare setting (preferred but not essential)
Duties
- Complete cleaning tasks in line with the site schedule, adhering to infection control standards
- Maintain cleaning equipment and report faults
- Ensure all clinical areas are left clean, safe and ready for use
Requirements
- Right to Work in the UK
- Good communication skills
- Reliable and punctual
- Previous cleaning experience, preferably in a healthcare setting (preferred but not essential)
- Basic knowledge of health and safety
- Understanding of COSHH (training provided if required)
- DBS check required for this role
Pay Rates:
- Weekday day shift: £13.50/hr
- Weekday night shift: £14.00/hr
- Weekend day shift: £14.00/hr
- Weekend night shift: £14.50/hr
- Bank holidays paid at time and a quarter (1.25x)
